The Seminary Doctrine Of Our School
Seminary Doctrine & Statement of Faith
Psalm 119:105
Our Statement of Faith
At Colorado Theological Seminary, we believe that sound doctrine is the foundation of effective Christian living, ministry, and leadership. Our commitment to biblical truth guides every course we teach, every program we offer, and every student we serve.
We affirm the Bible as the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God, revealing His plan of redemption through Jesus Christ and providing the standard for faith and practice.
While students come from many Christian traditions and denominations, we unite around the essential truths of historic Christianity. We are committed to proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and encouraging spiritual growth through biblically based education and ministry preparation.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
The Triune God
We believe in one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, His atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and future return in power and glory.
Isaiah 9:6
Salvation Through Christ
We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
The Holy Spirit
We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation and Christian growth.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for God's empowering presence and service.
Sanctification & Christian Living
We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and fruitful life.
Divine Healing
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
James 5:16
The Church & The Great Commission
We believe the Church is called to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to a lost world.
Resurrection & Eternal Destiny
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; one unto everlasting life and the other unto everlasting separation from God.
Our Commitment
Colorado Theological Seminary remains firmly committed to biblical truth, academic excellence, spiritual growth, and preparing Christian servants for effective ministry around the world.
We seek to uphold the authority of Scripture, exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, encourage spiritual maturity, and equip believers to fulfill God's calling upon their lives.
"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
