No. There are about 40 accrediting organizations that are recognized by the US Dept of Education. The requirements for joining one of these are many and varied. The biggest of these are capital, real estate, library, and income sources. These are very difficult for smaller and midrange bible colleges and seminaries to meet. In our case, our objective is to make Christian education affordable and accessible. Many bible colleges and seminaries cannot meet or choose not to meet these requirements. Accreditation is quite a nebulous thing unto itself. Many schools within the same accrediting commission do not allow transfer of credits or degree recognition. It is always up to the receiving school to make that determination. Many schools go to great lengths to tell you why they do not desire accreditation at all. Others say that if you are not accredited by the government, then you are a diploma mill. If you’ve been searching for distance learning frequently asked questions, you’re in the right place. Read on to see some answers to questions you may already have!
Distance learning is popular for many reasons. It is cost-effective. Many large companies, such as IBM, train employees in this manner to save transportation and scheduling costs. In addition, it allows the student to manage his or her own time since most adult students are working a full-time job and raising a family. Industry analysts determined that 1.8 million students were enrolled in online studies in 2007. By the way, many distance learning frequently asked questions relate to these conveniences and advantages.
Studies have shown that distance learning is just as effective as on-campus study. The wear and tear of student travel time can be avoided while studying at our distance learning seminary school from home. Moreover, many prospective students who raise distance learning frequently ask questions about programme quality.
Unlike some schools, Colorado Theological Seminary is not a diploma mill. If you want to learn more, you may consider checking our distance learning frequently asked questions for information about employer recognition.
Acceptance of credits or degrees is an institutional decision. While this decision is often made based on the accreditation status of a school, this is not always the case. Colorado Theological Seminary’s reputation for being both theologically and academically solid has been sufficient reasoning for colleges and seminaries to accept CTS credits or degrees. Notably, Liberty University, Phoenix Seminary, and Northcentral University are a few accredited schools that have accepted CTS credits or degrees (per CTS graduate testimony)
No. Our campus is virtual. All courses can be done at home, at your own pace, and on your own schedule. There is no need to make many trips to participate in the course “intensives” training. This is unlike many other distance learning bible colleges or seminaries.

We offer this distance learning seminary program online, ensuring that there is nothing holding you back from enrolling in your true calling. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our certificate program, please feel free to contact us . Most students start by contacting their friends, relatives, or church family. Since this is a learning experience, these individuals will normally take the survey in order to assist the student through their program. Once you have gained confidence in analyzing the reports and sharing that information with the counselee, you will then be surprised to find out that many people will soon be seeking you out. So, getting your surveys and case studies done will not be an issue for you. Remember, you will also be assigned a clinical supervisor within the Christian counseling degree program to assist you in this matter. In Christian counseling, guidance is often provided through mentorship and faith-based community connections.
No. NCCA licensure requires a church covering and ministerial credentials and is a faith-based, temperament-oriented approach to counseling. It adheres to the maxim that all counseling is fruitless without God involved. State licensure utilizes secular therapies focused on humanism, which leaves God out of the counseling sessions. However, Christian counseling emphasizes spiritual care and values in its licensure.
No. Joining the NCCA and becoming licensed by them is an option. It has no bearing on earning your degree.
